OK so I'm a total Mac n00b. I've had my iMac 24" for just 3 weeks now, and mostly quite loving it. However because I've never even really used a Mac for more than five minutes and not for years, I have absolutely no familiarity with them whatsoever. So my question is, how do I tell if my new Mac has OSX Leopard? The package came with a OSX "Leopard" disc, and the computer is new, so I would assume it is. But, this computer was on sale so I don't know if it was a discontinued style, and therefore the old OS. Also when I've clicked "About This Mac" in the Apple menu on the top-left of the screen, it says Version 10.4.11. Is that Leopard? Is Leopard really better? If I have the old version, is it worth installing the Leopard disc that came in the pack?

Thank you :-)
